Chapter, Hon.Mamah Joshua-vice Chairman FCT Chapter, Chief Mrs.Theresa Abalogu-women Leader FCT, Engr. Marvyse Holmes Ogba-Secretary FCT were are received on arrival at embassy by their ambassador Solomon Samuel Jere phd (Law) and his deputy Mr. Maynard J.C Misapa, Miss mnapa Chikonde P/A, Obby Mambwe first secretay.
After the introduction of IWU officials the leader Sir Nnanta- explained Iwu aim and objectives as a socio -cultural organization with the oversight functions on Igbo affairs and their Cultural diplomacy in Nigeria and beyond, as it affects igbos. IWU as an old union established since 1940s. was instrumental in the establishment of schools and banks e.t.c. in prewar Nigeria. In 2015 during inauguration of Kaduna chapter a young Igbo man from Zambia informed on the need to accord respect and honour to Zambia country, a reciprocating gesture for the peace Igbos and Nigeria enjoy in Zambia.
